Istanbul

Istanbul, historically known as Byzantium and later Constantinople, is the largest city in Turkey and a major cultural and economic hub. The city uniquely spans two continents, Europe and Asia, divided by the Bosphorus Strait. I spent several days exploring its historic mosques, markets, and palaces, including the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Galata Tower, and St. Anthony Catholic Church.

With a population of 4,061,150 as of 2021, Amman is the largest city in the Levant region, the fifth-largest city in the Arab world, and the ninth largest metropolitan area in the Middle East. The people of Amman are the kindest and friendliest of people. Jordan is considered the safest regions to travel. Some photos taken in Jerash and Madaba, Jordan.

Izmir

İzmir, historically known as Smyrna, is a major city on Turkey’s Aegean coast and an important cultural and commercial center. It has a rich Christian heritage, closely tied to the early Church. St. Polycarp, the bishop of Smyrna and a disciple of St. John the Apostle, lived and was martyred here around 155 AD, and St. Ignatius of Antioch is believed to have passed through Smyrna on his way to Rome. I stayed in İzmir because it serves as a convenient hub for visiting Ephesus. During my stay, I explored the city’s historic sites, including the remnants of the ancient Agora, the castle, the coastal promenade, and St. Polycarp Church.

New York City

While visiting friends who live in Queens, NYC, I decided to take the camera out for a shoot. New York City consist of 5 Boroughs, Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island and The Bronx. These photos have a bit of every borough. A city I most definitely will come back to.

Jerusalem

Jerusalem is a city in Western Asia. Situated on a plateau in the Judaean Mountains between the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea, it is one of the oldest cities in the world and is considered to be a holy city for the three major Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Both Israelis and Palestinians claim Jerusalem as their capital, as Israel maintains its primary governmental institutions there and the State of Palestine ultimately foresees it as its seat of power. Because of this dispute, neither claim is widely recognized internationally.

Rio de Janeiro

Rio de Janeiro, or River of January as the literal translation, or just Rio, is the capital city and the second most populus city in Brazil. I went to Rio for a two day trip to see one of the new 7 wonders of the world, The Christ Redeemer Statue.

Buenos Aires

"Buenos Aires" is Spanish for "fair winds" or "good airs". It is known for its preserved eclectic European architecture and rich cultural life. I came to buy some Yerba mate at Todos mate and to visit our Lady of Lujan which is slightly north of Buenos Aires.

Bethlehem

Bethlehem is a city in the central West Bank, Palestine, about 10 km (6.2 miles) south of Jerusalem. Its population is approximately 25,000 and it is the capital of the Bethlehem Governorate of the State of Palestine. The economy is primarily tourist-driven, peaking during the Christmas season, when Christians make pilgrimage to the Church of the Nativity. Which was the reason for me being here. While historically an Arab Christian town, Bethlehem has a Muslim majority, but is still home to a significant Palestinian Christian community. It is now encircled and encroached upon by dozens of Israeli settlements and the Israeli West Bank barrier, which separates both Muslim and Christian communities from their land and livelihoods, and sees a steady exodus from both communities.

San Miguel de Allende, was founded in 1542 by a Franciscan monk, Juan de San Miguel. Allende was added in 1826 to honor native, Ignacio Allende. The city is known for tourism and attracting many U.S. citizens due to the Arts. The art scene was brought to the city by American, Stirling Dickinson and Peruvian Cossio de Pomar in 1938 both whom were artist. Travel + Leisure magazine voted San Miguel de Allende as the best city in the world in 2017.

Merída

La Ciudad Blanca, or the White City, probably named after the common color of its old buildings or how the residents keep the city particularly clean. No one really can explain the nickname.

Merída is considered the safest city in Mexico. It is also, the second safest city in North America (Quebec, Canada being number one.) Merída is also the only city in Latin America included on several lists of the 100 safest cities in the world.

When most people think of travel to the Yucatan they might think Playa del Carmen or Cancun…but this city, is the hidden gem of the peninsula.

Lima

Lima is the capital and the largest city of Peru with a metropolitan population of 10,072,000 people. This is one of the largest cities I have ever been to, after Mexico City. Founded by Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro on the 18th of January, 1535, as Ciudad de los Reyes in the agricultural region known by native Peruvians as Limaq. The food is great with the worlds best Ceviche. This city is amazing.

Bogota

Officially Bogotá, Distrito Capital, abbreviated Bogotá, D.C. is the capital city of Colombia. Its location is in higher elevation near the center of the country. I am starting to love this country being this is the second time I have visited. We went for coffee. Many of these photos are taken from the Tren de Sabana, a local tourist train on the way to Zipaquira to visit the Catedral de Sal.

Kapadokya

Kapadokya, Turkey is like nowhere else on Earth—otherworldly valleys, fairy chimneys, and cave dwellings carved into stone over millennia. We stayed here as a hub, both for chasing the sunrise in a hot-air balloon and for exploring the surrounding sites: the painted cave churches tucked into cliffs, the labyrinthine underground cities, and quiet villages that feel frozen in time. Most of our days were spent wandering markets, hunting for souvenirs, tasting local treats, and marveling at the landscape that has inspired countless travelers. Every corner felt like stepping into a story, and even in the crowds, there was a sense of wonder that made the bizarre terrain feel personal.
